DStv To Show RCCG Holy Ghost Congress As Dove TV Debuts On Channel 349

MultiChoice Africa is further expanding its religion genre with the addition of Dove TV, the official television station of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). The channel will launch on Thursday, 3 December 2015 on DStv channel 349.
Dove TV will broadcast wholesome family entertainment with high moral and ethical values that appeals to children, the youth and the elderly. It will also include live coverage of all the Holy Ghost Services, Annual Conventions and Holy Ghost Congress of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. Other ministrations of the General Overseer from countries around the world can also be watched from time to time, not to mention series of ministrations from anointed men of God.
This means that viewers can join the Holy Ghost Congress for the year tagged Floodgates Of Heaven from December 7 to 13 on the Dove TV channel.
Speaking on the latest development, Public Relations Manager, DStv, Caroline Oghuma said the addition of Dove TV was in line with the company’s efforts to provide a diversified range of content that will appeal to its different subscribers.
“We are pleased to have Dove TV join the DStv and MultiChoice family. We believe that this addition to our growing list of channels will enhance our subscribers’ viewing pleasure as well as expand our range of quality local content on our platforms”, she said.
Speaking further Oghuma said, “You will recall that in August we dedicated a channel for the special two-day broadcast of the 63rd Redeemed Christian Church of God Annual Convention and now we are excited that the ministrations and other wholesome content from the RCCG will be a permanent fixture for our subscribers”, she concluded.

Obama, wife say Nigeria will be better if we work together


President Obama disclosed this in a letter he wrote to former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur who recently marked his 80th birthday.
President Barrack Obama hailed the Elder Statesman, Ambassador Tukur for his commitment to the improvement of the standard of living of Nigerians in particular and Africans at-large.
In the congratulatory letter which he personally signed with his wife, Michelle, they thanked the former PDP National Chairman for joining hands with his fellow compatriots to make the world a better place to live in for generations.
President Obama said, “your generation has witnessed what our Nations can achieve when we join together in pursuit of a brighter tomorrow.
“We trust you take pride in all you have accomplished and in the ways you have touched the lives of those around you”.
He also wished Dr. Bamanga Tukur many more years filled with joy and happiness.
Tukur who recently joined the league of Octogenarians by turning 80years of age, is currently the President of NEPAD Group, World-Wide, African Business Roundtable (ABR) and other World Acclaimed Business Conglomerates, Former Chairman Nigerian Railway Corporation and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
It would be recalled that Bamanga Tukur is the only African that has been so honoured to address the United Nations as a Non-Head of State.

Ekiti Government Begins Free JAMB 2015/2016 Programme

Ekiti State Government has concluded arrangements to procure free
Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Unified Tertiary
Matriculation Examination (UTME) for indigenes of the State seeking admission into University, Polytechnic and College of Education.
The State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Jide
Egunjobi, said in a statement issued in Ado Ekiti on Thursday that
over N10 million will be spent on the programme.
He said 1,300 students will benefit in the free JAMB programme, which will include one-week e-training.
The commissioner said; “Interested and qualified candidates are
expected to have a minimum of six (6) credits in Senior Secondary
Certificate Examination (SSCE), including Mathematics and English
Language at one sitting.
“All interested and qualified candidates are to visit the Area Mass
Literacy Officers in the Area Education Offices located in all the 16
Local Government Areas of Ekiti State for registration.
“Interested and qualified candidates should contact the Agency for
Adult and Non-Formal Education, Phase 4, State Secretariat, Ado-Ekiti for more information.”
Egunjobi, who said the Governor Ayodele Fayose led government in the State was determined to reclaim the State’s lost glories in education, added that no effort will be spared by the government to revive the sector.
